Join the Trail Tamers for a weekday session to help maintain one of Central Texas’s most challenging trail networks.
Volunteers will assist with repairing water bars, cleaning drains, and clearing corridors along the Panther Hollow, Little Fern, and Canyon Trail segments in northwest Austin’s River Place neighborhood—a 6-mile out-and-back route known for its 2,763 wooden steps and varied terrain.
Projects are half-day and involve trail maintenance tasks such as clearing corridors, repairing or replacing water bars, and installing or repairing drains. Volunteers should bring water, gloves, eye protection, and sturdy work boots, and be prepared to carry tools over rugged terrain.
Be sure to check your email the night before the scheduled start time of your project to receive any special instructions or cancellation notices.
If you need a ride to the project, please send a message to president@trailtamers.org.
