The Trail Tamers are recruiting a crew of volunteers to work on the Continental Divide Trail in Carson National Forest New Mexico during August 24-29, 2017.  This project is sponsored by the Continental Divide Trail Coalition and there is no charge to participate. l

The Martinez Canyon Relocation project is the last of a two-year project to relocate the CDT off of highway 84 between the Chama River and Hopewell Lake. Volunteers will assist with trail maintenance and construction in the Martinez Canyon trail segment. Work will include reconstruction/maintenance of trail tread, clearing brush, minor trail reroutes and potential installation of CDT reassurance markers and signs. Volunteers will arrive on the 24th to set up camp, workdays will be the 25-29.  Pat Dixon is the Trail Tamer crew leader for this project.

You will be provided meals; however, you will need to provide your own transportation and gear.
