The Trail Tamers are returning to Blanco State Park to work with the Friends of Blanco State Park on the trails that were damaged during the 2015 Memorial Day floods.

Patrick Dixon is the crew leader for this project.  Camping is available; however, you will need to bring your own food.

The Friends of Blanco State Park is a volunteer, non-profit organization committed to the preservation, protection, and improvement of Blanco State Park. Their mission is to work in partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife to maintain and protect the park's natural beauty, for current enjoyment and that of future generations.

The park is located on the south side of Blanco, 40 miles north of San Antonio on U.S. Highway 281. Turn on Park Road 23. From Austin, travel 48 miles west on U.S. Highway 290 to U.S. Highway 281, and then eight miles south on U.S. Highway 281 to Park Road 23. The park is at the corner of U.S. 281 and the Blanco River, four blocks south of the town square on the right.

The Central Texas Trail Tamers is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
