The Central Texas Trail Tamers are hosting a trail project at Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center March 5th through March 9th. This location is also known as the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute (CDRI). You can check out their website at http://www.cdri.org.
We will work on improving the Modesto Canyon trail by building and repairing rock steps and by rehabilitating the tread ascending out of the canyon.
Registration: Registration is open to members of the Central Texas Trail Tamers.
The participation fee of $75 will cover the cost of meals. We will be camping at the Nature Center. Trail Tamers must bring their own tents or RVs. There are no hookups. The CDRI has bathrooms, showers and a washer and dryer available. They have a BBQ Grill and electricity available at the pavilion and we will bring some cooking gear for general use as well.
The Central Texas Trail Tamers is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
