The Trail Tamers return to McKinney Falls State Park April 28th - 30th to focus on the Flint Rock Loop Trail. We will be performing regular trail maintenance including installing drains, repairing tread and cutting back slope as needed .
You must be registered to participate so we can provide plenty of tools and food. Lunch, snacks and drinks will be provided for the trail crew.
This is a great learning opportunity if you are new to Trail Tamers, we will be working with experts taking care of the trails. Come on out for a great time.
Limited lodging is available for out of town members.
This project is open to members and volunteers from the public. Volunteers need to wear long pants and sturdy shoes. Bring your own water and work gloves.
Volunteers will meet at the TPWD Gym that is located on back side of the Texas Parks and Wildlife State Headquarters that is adjacent to the park. The address for the headquarters is 4200 Smith School Rd, Austin, TX 78744, however the following link should direct you to the TPWD Gym.
